What was your first slam experience like?

My first slam experience was pretty nerve wracking and intense, I was the youngest person there

Didn’t end up winning, but it def felt great.

What music that inspires you to write poetry?

A lot of alternative, classical, jazz, foreign music. As far as hiphop, mos def & lupe.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Stupidity & people who chew w/ their mouths open, especially GUM.

Who/What inspires you?

It depends, I’m inspired by everything and nothing. It all stems on how I’m moved by the Spirit

Favorite Book

The Bible by God w/ editing by all his peoples,  The Appeal by John Grisham, The Quiet Game by Greg Iles, The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo, Naked and Not Ashamed by Dan Scott.

Favorite food

Fried Plantains or Chicken Alfredo.

Favorite movie

I like too many movies as favorites. Inception, The Time Traveler’s Wife, The Prestige, The Exorcist, The Hangover, Wall-E, Paris is Burning, The strange thing about the Johnsons, Black Dynamite, Kung Fu Hustle, V. for Vendetta, 500 days of Summer, Hero (Cuba Gooding Jr.).

Hookah at Prince Café then the Ledge in Georgetown

What do u do besides poetry?

I teach, do music, read, play video games, watch Anime & read manga and tweet my ass off.

What was the subject of the last poem you wrote?

It was a self-reflective piece

What’s the most annoying thing about performing?

People not getting you.

What would your friends say about you?

Don’t know. Ask them.

A great meal. Gummi bears. Hookah. Swimming. Calypso Black Cherry Lemonade. Good Music. And Hours of wild maniacal raunchy passionate sex.
